Information about e-visa payment issues

For every person requesting Kenyan visa via http://evisa.go.ke (the only authorized website): before you initiate the payment (which is made online, with a bank card), contact your bank and warn them that a bank transfer is imminent.

Without a prior notice, the bank most certainly will block the transfer and will not allow it.

If you have already filled the application form and after the payment step, the website generates the following message: "payment failed", please do the same as above mentioned - contact your bank and ask them to allow the payment.

The government of the Republic of Kenya has fully automated the issuance of visa with effect from January 1, 2021. IN THIS REGARD, ALL PASSENGERS TRAVELLING TO KENYA FROM COUNTRIES THAT REQUIRE VISAS TO ENTER KENYA SHALL BE REQUIRED TO APPLY AND OBTAIN EVISA BEFORE BOARDING AN AIRCRAFT AS NO VISAS WILL BE ISSUED ON ARRIVAL.
